While sitting on a bench in a gymnastics hall on a Tuesday afternoon, I started talking to one of my daughter’s friend Mom. As she told me something about her daughter I said: “Ah, that’s a typical Vata imbalance”. I told her some other characteristics and behaviour from her daughter that indicated her daughters energetic blueprint and some imbalances I noticed and her jaw dropped.

She said: I knew you were doing something with food, but I didn’t know it reached this far….!

This made me realise that it might be helpful to explain a bit more to you what using Food as a Gateway to an Energetic and Fulfilling Life means.

It’s not something I made up, it is based on an Ancient Indian philosophy. What I do is I apply it to modern life, so all busy women and moms can use it to manage everything on their plate and guide their children through childhood in a happy and healthy way.

So a little explanation about the Ayurvedic philosophy on which Food is the Gateway is based.

The Three Body Types in Ayurveda, Vata, Pitta and Kapha, are the key to our individual biological energetic make up that governs all our physical and mental processes going on in your body and mind. This personal energetic blueprint embeds all the characteristics and idiosyncrasies that make a person unique and thus is your individual blueprint for health and fulfilment.

And the fascinating thing is that all Food, our body and mind, the environment and all processes taking place within ourselves, but also external ones, are all governed by the same three energies, Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Once you know your unique body type, you are offered the opportunity to understanding yourself and your children. You can then use food and choose the activities you and your children engage in accordance with each unique energetic blueprint. Allowing that individuality within your family will create balance in every family members body, mind and in your family life.

The same day I had that conversation in the gymnastic hall, my children had an emotional meltdown after dinner. Here is what happened and how I dealt with according to these principles of Vata, Pitta, Kapha.

Both my children had an emotional meltdown yesterday evening at 7.30.What happened and how I dealt with it.
